A Different Kind Of Ecstasy
A Different Kind Of Ecstasy
By Andrew Von Poe
Have you ever kissed a skeleton
Met a spirit, then been joined as one
Visited a graveyard late at night
Or walked out among the stars so bright
Have you ever felt my different kind of ecstasy
May not suit you but it sure suits me
Felt the night close in on you
Tell me, my dear, what would you do
Have you ever felt the touch of Death
Have you ever given up your breath
Felt the night wind on your face
Or dropped out of hatred’s race
Have you ever felt my different kind of ecstasy
Seen the night upon the shining sea
Felt the wind blow through your hair
Have you ever had someone care
Have you ever dived into the dark
With mind as free as Adam stark
Felt this different kind of ecstasy
Come, my love, and share it with me
Revel in my dark and blessed madness
As your lips against a skeleton press
Smell the sweet scent of the night
Some day all things are made right
Now you’ve felt my different kind of ecstasy
Found out what Dark’s love can be
Felt the tenderness of Death
And danced until your final breath
This is my different kind of ecstasy
Come back next time to share it with me
And I’ll lead you to the night
To revel in dark’s beauty bright

Cool! You know, I re-read your stuff more on this blog than on Westgate. Fewer distractions, ya ken? You really ought to see if you can read some of your best stuff in the Berkeley coffee shops. There's got to be something there with a Gothic touch. I mean, this is Berkeley, we're talkin' aboot.
Rock On!
